Do you hold a high respect for mother nature and the outdoors? I find it increasingly alarming that more
and more, folks traveling into the outdoors do not respect the gift that has been given to them and often disregard the rights of others to enjoy this beauty untarnished by human hand. If this
trend continues, hunters, fishermen and outdoors persons alike are going to lose the battles they face.
The battles we face against Anti-hunters and animal-rights activists are growing in number daily. With good reason, someone needs to protect the environment and if hunters continue to show this lack of respect than the animal rights activists and anti-hunters need to step in.
Now I'm not saying, I agree with, promote, endorse or otherwise joined ranks with these folks so
diligently trying to take your rights away, but neither does it mean, that I promote, endorse, or otherwise enjoy being apart of the ranks of hunters that do not show proper respect for the gift in which
they partake of. Too often in recent hunting trips have I hiked deep into the woods only to see the hand of man had grossly made its way to this remote spot and left an ugly mark for the world to
see. Pepsi cans, cigarette butts, sandwich bag wrappers, are just a few things I have noticed lying scattered about deep in remote areas that are accessible only by foot traffic.
Have you ever heard the term PACK IT OUT?
If you had enough energy packaging it into this remote spot, then for crying out loud packet back
out! Please do not leave it there for the next person that happens to follow your footsteps...
Don't expect mother nature's slow creeping process to erase the marks you leave. TAKE PRIDE in the resources we have, show you care. Take only photographs and leave only footprints, leave this beauty for the next generations to enjoy. Scars left by todays generation could very possibly be visible by many future generations, as are the scars left by our fore fathers now. These effects can have long-lasting and permanently devastating consequences.
Recent trends by federal government and state local wildlife agencies, show a willingness to work with
hunters, fishermen, and Outdoors man in restoring areas damaged by man. I encourage you wall to join in these efforts, get involved, give back to the land that his giving you so much. proved
to the anti-hunters and animal-rights activists that we do care.
Take time at your busy schedule to get involved it will help protect and ensure we will all be able to continuing joining the outdoors for years to come. These programs need your support and are vital tools.
Contact a local or state/providence agency near you and lend your support.
Take pride in the outdoors and the fantastic opportunities it affords us all to enjoy. Help erase the scars man has already left here and if you see something that doesn't belong laying in the forest, pick it up, pack it out and msile all the way down the Hunting Trail, knowing you are making a difference!
